Perspectives Digital marks its 126th release by welcoming Swiss melodic techno artist Patrick Ruprecht to the label with his three-track Mournful Cadence EP. The Zurich-based producer brings a set of cinematic, emotionally driven productions that reflect the atmospheric and detail-oriented approach that has been building his reputation within Europe’s underground melodic scene.
When We Dip is premiering lead track „Call the Crowd,“ a solo production from Ruprecht that anchors the EP with dark grooves, evolving textures, and an expansive melodic progression. The track is constructed with patience, balancing late-night dancefloor energy against the kind of emotional restraint that has become characteristic of his work. It stands as one of the EP’s most hypnotic moments and is available to hear now exclusively via When We Dip Radio.
The EP is sequenced across three distinct pieces. The title track, „Mournful Cadence,“ features a collaboration with Budapest-based producer TOBAK, pairing haunting melodies with sophisticated rhythmic detail across a late-night framework. Closing cut „No Signal“ rounds out the release as a brooding, tension-filled composition built on layers of introspection and atmosphere.
Ruprecht’s approach to production is described as timeless rather than trend-driven, with tracks constructed slowly and intentionally, prioritising atmosphere, melody, and lasting emotional impact. Those qualities make him a natural fit for Perspectives Digital, a label founded by Darin Epsilon in 2010 as an extension of his long-running Perspectives radio show.
