Argentine producer Emi Galvan returns to the release circuit with the I Wish EP, a three-track record out now on Sudbeat. The project comprises the title cut alongside ‚Mily‘ and ‚Boomera‘, and finds Galvan working in a focused, late-night register that stays close to the sleek, melodic club sound that has defined his recent output.
The title track leads the EP with synthwork and rhythm locked tightly together, the beat and melody moving as a single unit rather than pulling against each other. The result is a patient, unhurried piece of music designed to reward a DJ willing to give it room inside a set. The remaining two tracks hold that same refined space, maintaining a balance between groove and atmosphere without losing sight of the dancefloor.
Galvan’s background as a guitarist and singer before turning to production has long shaped his approach to electronic music, giving his work a musician’s attention to rhythmic detail. Over the past several years that instinct has driven a notable run of releases, with his music reaching listeners across more than a hundred countries and a series of chart-topping records to his name. I Wish continues that momentum while leaning into a more measured, after-hours dimension of his sound.
The release lands on Sudbeat, the label founded by fellow Argentine Hernan Cattaneo. Since its founding, Sudbeat has established itself as one of the central homes for progressive house, with a catalogue built around music designed for patient progression and warm tension rather than immediate impact. I Wish sits comfortably within that tradition, holding its ground on the floor with a quiet, steady confidence.
The full premiere of the title track is streaming now exclusively via When We Dip ahead of the wider release.
