Every journey begins with a single moment. Christian Fischer found his in the basements and underground clubs of Leipzig. Every set taught him something new: how to choose the right record, ease it into the next, and wait for the exact moment the room became his.
That pursuit found a home at Distillery, where years behind the decks quietly shaped a sound of its own. One residency became Definition Night. One night became a gathering place.
From basement gigs to a global label — one residency at a time.
In 1999, that same journey evolved into Definition Records, giving every lesson learned behind the decks a life beyond the dance floor through artists like Martin Eyerer and Eelke Kleijn, alongside more than 100 collaborators from across the world.
Some journeys are measured in miles. Others are measured in moments. After more than twenty-five years of collecting those moments, they continue through Bryzant, where every playlist, release, and discovery reflects a lifetime devoted to electronic music.
The Track Record

Distillery's bimonthly Definition Night ran four years, drawing guest sets from Dave Clarke and Mark Broom.
Soma, Toolroom, Craft Music, Patterns, Takt and Loaded all released his work beyond his own label.
Slam, Outsiders and Sabrina Setlur brought him in to remix tracks that weren't his own.
Every two weeks since 2009, the show has traveled from Ibiza to the Philippines.
