Play Me Records opens 2026 with their 14th release, and it arrives without apology. ‚Big Stamina‘, a collaboration between UK veteran Lee UHF and Argentinian producer Noise Souls, drops via the label on Friday 26th June — and it carries the kind of rolling, grinding pressure the name implies.
Play Me has a documented history of early investment in artists before wider recognition follows. Dillon Francis, Bro Safari, MUST DIE!, and Figure all passed through the label at pivotal moments in their careers. That same instinct appears to be driving the decision to back this pairing.
Lee UHF’s roots stretch back to the late 1990s, where he built his foundation in hardcore — running events, pressing vinyl, and headlining main stages internationally. His move into Drum & Bass came in the late 2000s, oriented toward darker, more purposeful territory. Following a step back from touring with his Dirtbox project in the late 2010s, he redirected energy toward labels and studio work.
Noise Souls, real name Nic, entered the picture in 2022 when he began contributing productions to Lee’s Dirtbox label. By summer 2025, conversations about Lee’s back catalogue had evolved into Nic actively pushing him to complete tracks that had been sitting unfinished for years. Since December 2025, the two have put out nine releases together with no breaks between them.
‚Big Stamina‘ is a direct product of that working method — long studio sessions, loops run until they lock in, and the patience to let a track develop on its own terms. The result is a disciplined, focused piece of Drum & Bass built for warehouse floors and rooftop raves where the music does the talking. It is aimed squarely at selectors and dancers who know exactly what they are listening for.
The track is available from Friday 26th June on Play Me Records.
