Yamaha Music Innovations has expanded Yamaha Creator Pass following its public beta at SXSW, rolling out a restructured three-tier pricing model, DAW integrations, and a new learning section aimed at independent artists managing fragmented production workflows.
The platform consolidates songwriting, production, mastering, distribution, promotion, and learning resources under a single login. The newly introduced Starter plan enters at $9.99 per month, giving first-time creators access to songwriting and idea-building tools from Output without requiring knowledge of full DAW setups or audio engineering fundamentals.
The Growth tier, priced at $19.99 per month, expands access considerably. Subscribers receive over 80,000 samples from Output Arcade and LANDR, DAW access, plugins, instant arrangement tools, AI-powered mastering from LANDR, more than 200 online courses, and four Groover credits for pitching to curators and music industry contacts. Pro subscribers pay $39.99 per month and gain Output Co-Producer, Portal, Thermal, Movement, all FX expansions, and 10 Groover credits.
DAW access is one of the more significant additions to the platform. Cubase 15 AI is available to Growth and Pro subscribers on monthly and yearly plans, while Ableton Live 12 Lite is included for yearly Growth and Pro subscribers. Both applications are available as free downloads within the plan, giving creators without existing DAW licenses a direct path into production sessions.
Artists including Max Frost, Scarlet Parke, and Madeline Rosene have incorporated Yamaha Creator Pass into their workflows. Scarlet Parke used the platform to produce and release her single “Luna,” using LANDR for vocal recording and DistroKid for distribution. R.E.L. has also been named as a user of the platform.
The new Learning section adds step-by-step tutorials covering platform use and broader creator skills. The addition addresses a practical gap: access to a large tool bundle carries limited value without guidance on how to move from an initial idea through to a finished release. Growth and Pro subscribers can use the learning content across production, mastering, and promotion stages.
The platform’s partner and benefit network extends well beyond production software. Listed partners include UVI Prisma, Avid, FL Studio, Linktree, freebeat.ai, SoundCloud, Steinberg, Adobe, Fourthwall, Symphony OS, Offtop, DISCO, Mogul, AudioShake, and DistroKid. Add-ons are available from AudioShake, Yamaha Vocaloid, TONE3000, and Mogul.
For a limited time, the first 100 eligible U.S. subscribers who purchase an annual Pro Pass by July 10 will receive a Yamaha AG01 USB microphone, subject to supply. Yamaha Creator Pass also offers a separate Podcaster Pass at $29 per month, which includes Riverside Pro, editing tools, clip creation, publishing, live recording, and simulcast functionality.
