Showtek have announced the launch of a new record label, F_CK THE SYSTEM, alongside its debut release — a collaboration with Belgian-French artist Kate Ryan titled “Ella Elle L’a.”
The Dutch brother duo of Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen are no strangers to label ownership. Early in their career they founded Dutch Master Works, and in 2013 they launched Skink Records in partnership with Spinnin’ Records. F_CK THE SYSTEM marks their third venture into imprint territory, this time established in partnership with Dutch independent label Be Yourself Music, a company with an extensive catalogue of electronic music releases.
According to Showtek, F_CK THE SYSTEM has been built with the explicit intention of breaking genre boundaries. The duo describe it as a musical home that will allow them to represent every dimension of their sound — from large-scale festival material to music aimed at underground audiences. The imprint’s name carries clear echoes of “FTS,” one of Showtek’s most recognised tracks, alongside other career-defining records such as “Booyah” that helped cement their reputation during the peak of the global EDM boom.
The label’s inaugural release, “Ella Elle L’a,” unites Showtek with Kate Ryan, who originally recorded the song. The track’s journey to release began at the Fun Radio Ibiza Experience, held at Accor Arena in Paris, where Showtek debuted a live edit of the record. The crowd response at that event convinced the duo to develop the edit into a fully realised studio track. Ryan, who is of Belgian-French background, is well established within European dance music circles.
“Ella Elle L’a” is available now across streaming platforms including Spotify. Showtek have signalled that further releases on F_CK THE SYSTEM are forthcoming, with the label positioned as a long-term creative outlet rather than a one-off project. The partnership with Be Yourself Music provides the new imprint with an established independent infrastructure to support its rollout.
The launch represents a significant structural move for Showtek, who have spent decades navigating shifts across hardstyle, big room, and beyond. Adding a third label to their portfolio — one explicitly designed around creative freedom — suggests the duo are approaching this next phase of their career with a clear strategic vision.
