Premiere: Bonnie Spacey and Favio Inker spark a fever on Critical Monday

Bonnie Spacey is entering a busy period. The Berlin-based DJ, producer and Critical Monday label founder has a studio album due this fall, and in the lead-up she is releasing a series of peak-hour cuts designed to keep dancefloors occupied. Her sound sits between retro-funk warmth and the heavier end of modern club music, drawing on noir aesthetics while remaining firmly aimed at the floor.

The latest release is „Fever Maker,“ a collaboration with Argentine producer Favio Inker that arrives on June 5th via Critical Monday. The two previously worked together on „Alright,“ and this follow-up marks their second studio pairing. Built on elastic synth lines that twist and snap across the groove, the track is a bouncy, high-energy cut engineered for moments when a room is already in motion and needs one final push. The dynamic between the two producers carries through clearly in the finished record, with the track carrying the kind of momentum that suggests a natural creative exchange.

Critical Monday, the Berlin label Spacey founded and continues to run, provides the home for the release. The imprint operates at the intersection of indie dance and groove, with a philosophy rooted in dancefloor energy and a deliberate sense of lightness. „Fever Maker“ reflects that positioning — substantial enough for a peak-time slot, but carrying enough buoyancy to avoid taking itself too seriously.

The full premiere of „Fever Maker“ is available now exclusively through When We Dip Radio, ahead of its official June 5th release date. With the album still to come later this year, Spacey shows no signs of slowing her output in the months ahead.
