Javano is set to release his new album Juncture on 3rd July via Peer Pressure Records. The eleven-track project arrives without extended fanfare, following the London-based producer’s established pattern of letting the music speak for itself.
Based in Bromley, Javano has been a consistent presence on the Peer Pressure roster for several years, working his way through EPs and standalone releases before delivering his debut album The Drift in 2020. That record drew on techno, dub and jungle influences, and Juncture continues in a similarly wide-ranging direction. Across its eleven tracks, the album moves through UK garage, dub and drum & bass, with Javano threading the styles together into a cohesive body of work.
Sonically, Juncture is built around fast, sharp breaks, low-end sub bass and layers of atmosphere running beneath the more immediate rhythmic elements. The record is designed with live settings in mind, carrying an energy suited to a range of environments — from outdoor festival stages to enclosed club spaces where the low end carries physical weight.
Peer Pressure Records has supported Javano’s cross-genre approach throughout his career, and Juncture represents the most fully realised version of that working relationship to date. Data Transmission previously premiered his track Concrete, and the outlet is also premiering Apricity ahead of the album’s release. The track is available as a single now, ahead of the full album dropping on 3rd July.
