EXIT Festival, the three-time European Best Major Festival winner, is heading to Egypt this October for the debut of Starlight Festival — a four-day electronic music event taking place from October 8–11 near the Great Pyramids of Giza. The festival is a joint venture between EXIT and Venture Lifestyle, a Dubai-based entertainment company whose electronic music platform P+US has previous experience organising events at the iconic site, including Anyma’s Quantum Genesis spectacle in 2025.
The main festival nights fall on October 9 and 10, with the pyramids serving as a backdrop from a specially designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status — consistent with how other events in the area have been handled. Opening and closing events will take place across selected venues throughout Cairo, extending the festival’s footprint across the city for the full run from the 8th to the 11th.
The first wave of headliners makes a strong case for Starlight being one of the most significant electronic music events the region has seen. Charlotte de Witte will make her first-ever performance in Egypt, while Michael Bibi brings his tech house sound to the pyramids for the first time. Swiss melodic techno duo Adriatique return to the location having previously performed there to a crowd of nearly 10,000. Rounding out the upper tier of the bill are Pete Tong, Vintage Culture, Who Made Who — the Danish trio confirmed for a hybrid live DJ set — and Italian techno artist Enrico Sangiuliano. The full first wave comprises 47 artists in total, also including French house act Fiona Kraft, US selectors Coco & Breezy, and Saudi Arabian duo Dish Dash.
Beyond the music, Starlight will span more than five stages and zones, and will incorporate one of the world’s most advanced VR experiences, originally unveiled at Expo Dubai. The festival sits within EXIT’s expanding global tour, a trajectory that took shape after political pressure in Serbia prompted the organisation to look outward in 2026.
EXIT founder and CEO Dušan Kovačević framed the event in terms of cultural responsibility as much as spectacle. „EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience,“ he said. Rabih Mokbel, founder and CEO of Venture Lifestyle, pointed to the broader economic context, noting that music tourism now represents a global market worth over $100 billion.
P+US’s track record at Giza adds meaningful weight to the partnership. Having already navigated the logistical and regulatory complexity of staging a major production at one of the world’s most protected heritage sites, Venture Lifestyle brings operational credibility that EXIT’s international reputation alone could not supply. The combination of a festival brand with deep roots in large-scale European events and a regional partner with direct experience at the venue is what makes Starlight a plausible proposition rather than an ambitious concept on paper.
Tickets are currently available from €179, with local buyers directed to Ticket Egypt and international attendees pointed toward Fever. With 47 artists confirmed in just the first announcement wave, further lineup additions are expected before October.
