EXIT and P+US to debut Starlight Festival at the Pyramids of Giza this October

EXIT Festival, the three-time European Best Major Festival winner, is heading to Egypt this October for the debut of Starlight Festival — a four-day electronic music event taking place from October 8th to 11th near the Great Pyramids of Giza. The festival is a joint venture between EXIT and Venture Lifestyle, a Dubai-based entertainment company operating the electronic music platform P+US, which previously helped organise Anyma’s Quantum Genesis spectacle at the same iconic site in 2025.

The main festival nights fall on October 9 and 10, with the pyramids serving as a backdrop from a specially designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status — meaning the event will not be staged directly at the monuments themselves. Opening and closing events will take place across selected venues throughout Cairo, spreading the festival’s footprint across the Egyptian capital for the full four-day run.

The first wave of headliners is substantial. Belgian trance-techno artist Charlotte de Witte will make her first-ever performance in Egypt, while British tech house heavyweight Michael Bibi also takes the stage for the first time at the pyramids. Swiss melodic techno duo Adriatique return to the location having previously performed there to a crowd of nearly 10,000 people. Rounding out the top billing are Pete Tong, Brazilian house producer Vintage Culture, Danish trio Who Made Who performing a hybrid live DJ set, and Italian techno artist Enrico Sangiuliano. The full first wave spans 47 artists in total, including French house artist Fiona Kraft, US selectors Coco & Breezy, and Saudi Arabian duo Dish Dash.

The production scope is equally ambitious. Starlight will operate across more than five stages and zones, and will incorporate one of the world’s most advanced VR experiences — a setup originally unveiled at Expo Dubai. That combination of scale and technology positions this as something considerably more involved than a standard touring festival stop.

The event sits within EXIT’s broader 2026 world tour, which the Serbian festival announced in fall 2025 after citing political pressure at home as a driving force behind its international expansion. Egypt represents one of the most high-profile stops on that tour, and the partnership with Venture Lifestyle brings regional expertise to a project that carries obvious logistical complexity.

EXIT Festival Founder and CEO Dušan Kovačević framed the occasion in terms of cultural exchange: „It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience. We are especially pleased to have Venture Lifestyle as our partner on this project, given their reputation for delivering exceptional events in the region.“

Rabih Mokbel, Founder and CEO of Venture Lifestyle and P+US, pointed to the wider economic context, noting that music tourism now carries a total global value of over $100 billion. His comments underline that Starlight is not simply a one-off spectacle but part of a calculated push to establish Egypt as a serious destination on the international electronic music circuit.

For those looking to attend, tickets currently start at €179 — available through Ticket Egypt for local buyers and Fever for international visitors. With Charlotte de Witte making her Egyptian debut, Adriatique returning to a site where they previously drew close to 10,000 people, and a 47-strong first wave already confirmed, Starlight Festival is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about electronic events of the year.
