Boys Noize and Skrillex are signaling the return of their collaborative project Dog Blood, with new music apparently on the way. The duo previewed unreleased material through an 84-second recording titled “dog blood id megamix 2026,” which Skrillex — real name Sonny Moore — first shared with fans via his personal newsletter, launched last year.
The brief clip carries the hard-edged sonic character that has defined Dog Blood since the project launched in 2012, featuring metallic basses, warped acids, and chopped vocals across a series of unidentified tracks. Whether the preview points to a single release or a broader body of work has not been confirmed by either artist.
The last time Moore and Boys Noize — real name Alex Ridha — released music together under the Dog Blood name was in 2019, when they dropped Turn Off The Lights, a four-track EP. Since then, both artists have remained active on separate fronts.
Ridha has been particularly prolific heading into the latter half of 2026. Beyond the forthcoming Dog Blood material, he is preparing a solo album titled 7LLVSION. Earlier this year in April, he collaborated with Nine Inch Nails members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on a project called Nine Inch Noize, which encompassed both a stage show and an accompanying album.
Moore has also been pushing his creative output in new directions. In January, he released Kora, an EP that leaned into ambient and downtempo sounds. He followed that in June with another EP titled Soma, further demonstrating the breadth of his production range beyond the high-energy work he is most widely known for.
At this stage, no title, release date, or tracklist has been announced for the upcoming Dog Blood project. Fans looking for updates are advised to follow both Skrillex and Boys Noize across their respective social media channels as more information becomes available.
